CASE 3
A
32 year-old woman presented with a “rash” that appeared 3 days ago over her
legs. She had an influenza-like illness about 3 week earlier.
Past
medical history was negative for any bleeding or thrombotic problems.
Family
history was also noncontributory.
The
patient was on no medication at the time of evaluation.
Physical
examination revealed diffuse petechiae over the lower extremities and several
large ecchymoses over the chest. No
palpable organomegaly was found.
